Laura Williams and Karoline Steckley reunited for the first time in 18 years to run the Paris marathon on April 5, 2009. They ran to raise money for Rotary International's global initiative of the eradication of Polio - all while running their first marathons together in the beautiful city of Paris. The story isn't over yet.... YOU KEEP READING AND WE'LL KEEP RUNNING (that's a promise we intend to keep!)
Ok, here's the next 20-miler. The idea is to start from your home, head towards Domio, then through the SIOT oil tanks to Dolina, then UP to Socerb/S.Servolo, and then from there, running in the woods, to "Beka" and "Klanec pri Kozini". From there, we simply take the good-ol' cycling path back home. GE tells me 20 miles, but this time we check with the bike's odometer.
ReplyDeleteThere is a problem, however: the path in the woods is wide, but has some parts with rough gravel. With the mountain bike I manage it easily, walking too, with the car you need something higher than a normal sedan, but I don't know how can it be running.
Sounds good! See you Saturday at 5am! I can't wait. ;)
ReplyDeleteAhem... They're calling me on the other line...
ReplyDeleteGreat photos partner! Looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSo, better you with all that snow than me!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Jennifer S. We had to drive two hours to find that snow. In Trieste, we just have rain. Best part: nothing to shovel!
